1. He was born in Ilaro
Taiwo Hassan was born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, Ogun State.
2. He faced financial challenges in school
He attended Christ Church School, Ilaro, and later Gazikia College in Lagos but could not complete his secondary education due to financial difficulties.
3. He was a mechanic
Before fame, Ogogo trained as an automobile mechanic and worked with the water corporation for about 13 years.
4. He started acting in 1981
He began his acting career in 1981 while still working as a mechanic. In 1994, he left his job to pursue acting full-time.
5. He was a multi-talented filmmaker
Ogogo was not only an actor. He also worked as a producer, director and screenwriter during his long career.
6. He featured in several notable films
His credits include Owo Blow, Omo Ghetto, Tenant of the House, Amerah, Aníkúlápó, Bank Alert and IGE – The Unlikely Oil Merchant, among others.
He played Alaafin Ademuyiwa in Aníkúlápó and reprised the role in Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre.
7. He received an AMVCA nomination
His performance in Aníkúlápó earned him a 2023 AMVCA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Public reports identified Ogogo’s wives as Ajoke Taiwo and Taibat Taiwo. Reports stated that they practised different religions.
