The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has welcomed the endorsement of his candidacy by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, led by former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Oyebamiji described the endorsement as a significant development, saying it goes beyond political support and reflects a shared conviction that Osun State needs a new direction anchored on justice, fairness, inclusion and equitable development.
In a statement, the APC candidate said the state must move away from what he described as “one-sided politics and uneven development,” stressing that governance should serve all residents irrespective of their political affiliations, senatorial districts, religious beliefs or communities.

He said every citizen deserves to benefit from government programmes and policies, while every part of the state should have equal opportunities for growth and development.
Oyebamiji expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in his candidacy, adding that the endorsement comes with a deep sense of responsibility.
He said his administration, if elected, would prioritise unity, fairness and development across the state while working to end what he described as divisive politics.

According to him, the goal is to build an Osun State where justice is upheld, opportunities are created and development is evenly distributed across communities.
“The time for a new direction is now,” Oyebamiji declared, calling on residents to join hands with him to rebuild the state and provide the people with the government they deserve.
The development comes just days before the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election, where Oyebamiji is seeking to emerge as the next governor of the state.
