The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed that no life was lost and no one sustained injury when a 40-foot container truck crashed into six other vehicles at Kara Bridge, inward OPIC, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tuesday morning.

The statement says the container truck, which had no registration number, reportedly developed a mechanical fault while in motion, lost control, and rammed into the other vehicles.

It notes seven vehicles were involved in the crash, but the LASEMA’s LRT Tiger Squad, stationed at C3, responded alongside police who moved quickly to manage the scene to prevent another accident.

It adds the damaged vehicles were cleared from the road, and traffic flow was restored immediately.

LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, commended the emergency responders for their prompt action, which he said helped prevent casualties and clear the road quickly.

He urged motorists, particularly drivers of articulated vehicles, to keep their vehicles properly maintained, observe roadworthiness requirements, and exercise caution on major highways.
