A Nigerian woman has shared her emotional reaction after discovering that her mother had started a new relationship just three months after the death of her father.
The woman, identified on X as Aironda (@JojoNitq), said her mother called the family for a meeting and told them she wanted to move on with her life following her husband’s death.
According to her, the revelation came as a shock to her, as she admitted that she was deeply hurt by the development.
Sharing her experience on X, she wrote:
“My dad died three months ago, my mom called us this morning for a family meeting. She said she wants to move on with her life. My mama don get boyfriend o.”
Although she acknowledged that she is not someone who normally takes her family’s personal matters to social media, she said the situation had left her deeply emotional.
