The meeting, which is being attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of the Federal Executive Council, is expected to deliberate on major issues affecting the country.
Ministers and other senior government officials are expected to present memoranda and proposals from their respective ministries for consideration and approval by the council.
The FEC is the highest decision-making body of the Federal Government and meets to consider policies, programmes, contracts and other matters requiring collective approval.
The council’s deliberations are expected to cover key areas of governance, including economic development, infrastructure, security and the implementation of ongoing government programmes.
The meeting comes as the Tinubu administration continues to push its reform agenda and implement policies aimed at strengthening the economy and improving living conditions across the country.
