The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the just-concluded Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has thanked party leaders, members, supporters and voters for their commitment and sacrifices throughout the election campaign.

Oyebamiji, in a message to APC members across the state, said although the party had hoped for a different outcome, he respected the position of the electoral umpire and supported the party’s decision to review the election results.
He expressed appreciation to voters who supported his candidacy, as well as campaign volunteers and party members who worked to promote what he described as an alternative vision for the development of Osun State.
According to him, while the election and campaign had ended, the values and causes championed by the campaign remained relevant.
He urged APC members and supporters to remain engaged and continue working towards what he described as effective, inclusive and rapid development of the state.
Oyebamiji also called on his supporters to remain calm and peaceful during the post-election period.
However, he raised concerns over what he described as a growing trend of hostility and violence against APC members and supporters.
He alleged that attacks witnessed during the build-up to the election had taken another dimension in the 24 hours following the poll.
Oyebamiji therefore called on the Osun State Government, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to intervene and halt what he described as the “ugly trend” without delay.
The APC candidate said he remained proud of the campaign his team ran and expressed gratitude to everyone who reposed confidence in his candidacy.
He concluded by urging his supporters to remain committed to the collective good of Osun State.
