Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson of the Imole Campaign Council for the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has vowed to defeat Oluwole Oke, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, in the 2027 election.

Olajengbesi made the declaration while reacting to the recent political developments in Osun State following Accord’s victory in the August 15 governorship election.
The lawyer and political activist said the outcome of the election had demonstrated a significant shift in the state’s political landscape, expressing confidence that the momentum would continue into the 2027 general election.
According to him, he is prepared to challenge Oke at the polls and secure victory.
Oke, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), currently represents the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Olajengbesi’s declaration adds to the growing political contest ahead of the 2027 elections, with political actors across Osun already positioning themselves for various elective positions.
The development is expected to further intensify political activities in the state as parties and prospective candidates begin preparations for the next general election.
