The Chairman of the Accord Party in Osun State has called for unity among residents and political stakeholders following the conclusion of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

The Accord chairman urged all parties and their supporters to put the outcome of the election behind them and work together in the interest of the state.
He described the election as a contest in which there should be no victor or vanquished, stressing that the people of Osun remain the ultimate stakeholders regardless of political affiliation.
The call came after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results of the election, bringing to an end weeks of political campaigns and intense competition among the participating parties.
The Accord Party chairman appealed to political leaders, supporters and residents to avoid actions capable of creating division, urging them instead to embrace peace, reconciliation and unity.
He also encouraged the political class to respect democratic processes and focus on issues that would promote development and improve the welfare of the people of Osun State.
The statement reflects growing calls for calm and unity following the election, as political stakeholders begin to look beyond the contest and towards the future of the state.
