Real Madrid marquee signing Yan Diomande has expressed his strong admiration for José Mourinho, saying he is ready to give everything for the Portuguese manager.
The Ivorian forward was quoted as saying players develop a special bond with Mourinho when they work under him.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X on Friday, Diomande was quoted as saying, “When you play for José Mourinho, you want to DIE for him. I am ready to die for him,” Diomande said.
He insisted that he feels no pressure following the significant transfer fee spent to bring him to his new club.
The young forward said the money involved in his transfer is a reflection of the club’s belief in his ability, rather than something that should make him nervous.
“They spent a lot of money because they believe in me; why will I be scared?
“I’m not scared; I feel no pressure. I will do what I do, and God will do the rest,” he added.
Diomande’s comments underline his confidence as he looks to justify the club’s investment and establish himself at his new destination.
