A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Akinjo, has called for a genuine and comprehensive reconciliation within the party, warning that any attempt to resolve the ongoing crisis without addressing its root causes could further deepen the division.

Akinjo made the call amid efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and restore unity within the Ondo State chapter of the APC.

He stressed that reconciliation should go beyond meetings and political appearances, insisting that the grievances responsible for the crisis must be identified and properly addressed.

According to him, the party can only regain stability when all stakeholders are given a fair opportunity to express their concerns and participate meaningfully in the reconciliation process.

Akinjo urged APC leaders and members to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions, stressing the need for mutual respect, fairness and sincerity among stakeholders.

He noted that unresolved grievances could undermine the party’s cohesion and electoral prospects, particularly as political activities intensify ahead of future elections.

The APC chieftain therefore appealed to the leadership to pursue a reconciliation process that would produce lasting peace rather than a temporary settlement.

He said genuine reconciliation remained essential to rebuilding trust among party members and creating a stronger, more united APC in Ondo State.
