The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has welcomed the appointment of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Osun State Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council, pledging to mobilise 1.5 million votes for the President in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

The council described Adeleke’s appointment as well deserved, expressing confidence that the governor would deliver a strong electoral performance for Tinubu in Osun State.

In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Dr. Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi, the council assured the President that the confidence reposed in Adeleke would not be misplaced.

It also pledged that all Accord Party structures in Osun State would work towards Tinubu’s re-election, expressing its readiness to mobilise supporters and grassroots political structures across the state.

According to the council, its commitment to securing 1.5 million votes for Tinubu reflects its determination to support the President’s re-election bid and strengthen political cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The council also called on residents of Osun State to continue supporting Governor Adeleke, urging them to maintain the confidence they demonstrated during the last governorship election.

It maintained that the governor would continue to fulfil his campaign promises, adding that supporting Tinubu in the presidential election would also amount to supporting Adeleke’s leadership in the state.

The statement read, “The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.

“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced.

“We promise the President, just as Governor Adeleke had said some time ago, that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the coming presidential election.

“Our message to the people of Osun State is to keep trusting and supporting Governor Adeleke as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is support for Governor Adeleke.”

The council’s declaration signals its readiness to mobilise political support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with its leadership expressing confidence in Adeleke’s ability to coordinate the campaign in Osun State.

However, the proposed 1.5 million votes remain a campaign target, with the eventual electoral outcome to be determined by voters.
