Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on members of political parties within the coalition supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid to put aside their political differences and work together towards achieving a common objective.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, made the appeal during the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Rally in Osun State, where he urged political leaders, party members, and supporters to embrace unity, cooperation, and collective commitment ahead of the 2027 general election.
Adeleke stressed the importance of strengthening relationships among members of the coalition, noting that political differences should not undermine their shared commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
He urged stakeholders across the participating political parties to demonstrate genuine commitment to the coalition’s objectives by working together at the grassroots level to mobilise support for the President and other candidates endorsed by the coalition.
The governor also emphasised the need for political actors to prioritise collective interests over individual ambitions, describing unity as an important factor in achieving the coalition’s objectives.
The development comes amid the growing political alliance involving the All Progressives Congress (APC), Accord Party, and structures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke had earlier, on October 22, 2026, inaugurated the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election, declaring that the coalition would work towards securing more than the 1.5 million votes previously promised to the President.
At the inauguration, the governor described the alliance as a rainbow coalition bringing together political structures and influential stakeholders across party lines.
He, however, clarified that the agreement among the coalition partners was strictly for the presidential election and would not extend to legislative contests.
According to him, participating political parties remain free to support their respective candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly elections.
