Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee, has broken his silence following his release on bail in the United Kingdom, insisting that he remained mentally strong throughout his ordeal because he knew he was innocent of the allegation against him.

Poco Lee spoke during a video call with social commentator VeryDarkMan, who shared the conversation on social media on Sunday.
The entertainer said his biggest concern while in custody was the welfare of his associates and the possible impact of his absence on their businesses.
“I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people. Jago could not do anything business, and I didn’t want to stress anyone,” Poco Lee said.
He added that knowing he had not committed the alleged offence helped him remain calm throughout the situation.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he said.
Poco Lee also acknowledged the support he received from some of his associates and colleagues during the period, particularly Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
“Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, Jago and some of my other guys,” he added.
VeryDarkMan, who published the video of the conversation, also questioned some of the reports surrounding Poco Lee’s case while commending Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for standing by the dancer.
In the caption accompanying the video, he wrote: “I just got off a video call with @rahman_jago_ and @poco_lee. I guess the next narrative will be this is AI. THERE IS A REASON WHY I BRAG WITH INTEGRITY, I AM NOBODY’S mate, WHEN I talk take it to the bank.”
The development comes ahead of a hearing earlier scheduled for September 15 at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation.
The case followed Poco Lee’s visit to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. The allegation against him remains before the court, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
