The Osun State Police Command has arrested three suspected criminals accused of terrorizing residents and students around Oke-Baale, Osogbo.

The suspects were identified as Abass Quadri, 26; Olanrewaju Joshua, 24; and Yusuf Taiwo, 25.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, the arrests followed complaints from students of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Oke-Baale, Osogbo, over the alleged incessant activities of criminals along their daily routes.
Ojelabi said police operatives, acting on the complaints, embarked on patrol and a raid of suspected criminal hideouts on September 9, 2026, leading to the arrest of the three suspects.
The suspects allegedly operated by stopping students by force, threatening them, and collecting their mobile phones before compelling them to transfer money to them.
The police said the suspects have since been charged to court, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the group who may be involved.
The Command urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities, threats, or criminal incidents to the nearest police station.
