The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has called for the arrest of a former federal lawmaker, Senator Akinyemi Hunye, over an alleged case of impersonation.

The party reportedly accused Hunye of presenting himself as the Ogun State Chairman of the APC, despite not holding the position.
The APC said the alleged impersonation could mislead members of the public and create confusion within the party, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensify.
The party therefore urged security agencies to investigate the matter and take appropriate action if Hunye is found to have committed an offence.
The development comes amid heightened political activities in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and their members already positioning themselves for the contests.
