Arsenal have won their anticipated Premier League encounter against Chelsea by 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Blues took an early lead in the 2nd minute, courtesy of a volley from new signing Morgan Rodgers.

At the 12th-minute mark, the Gunners struck an equaliser, but the Video Assistant Referee ruled Konsa offside

Former Chelsea striker Kai Havertz eventually pulled the equaliser for the home team at the 25th minute.

The German received the pass from Declan Rice. He then pulled to the right and drove the ball inside before latching a low effort towards the near post.

Five minutes after the second half commenced, club captain Martin Odegaard scored the winner for last season’s defending champions.

With Havertz playing a dummy on the ball, Arsenal’s new signing, Christos Tzolis’s ball was met by Odegaard, who delivered a slamming effort to bag the winner.

Mikel Arteta’s side have amassed a maximum of nine points in their opening three matches. They currently sit second behind Manchester City, while sharing the same points.

The Blues occupy the fourth spot on the league table, with six points. They won their first game by 3-2 against Fulham before getting a 4-3 win at home against Brighton.
