Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke made the declaration in a statement in which he reiterated his position on Tinubu’s re-election, saying:
“I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement for the second term of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election.”
The statement has attracted attention, particularly given Adeleke’s political affiliation with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while President Tinubu is the candidate expected to seek re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeleke’s latest declaration appears to reinforce his previously expressed support for Tinubu’s bid, although the political implications of such an endorsement are likely to generate further debate ahead of the 2027 elections.
