Daniel Olowookere, a Nigerian-born man from Blackley, Manchester, United Kingdom, has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to raping two young girls, both aged under 12.

Olowookere was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court after initially denying the allegations before eventually changing his plea to guilty.
During the sentencing proceedings, witnesses reportedly described his reaction as showing no remorse. He was said to have shaken his head as the judge delivered the prison sentence.
The court also heard arguments from his defence team, which reportedly raised his cultural background as a mitigating factor during sentencing. However, the judge stressed that cultural background could not excuse the sexual abuse of children.
Meanwhile, investigators have warned that there could be additional victims and are appealing to anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have information about the case or other possible victims to contact the relevant investigative team to assist ongoing inquiries.
