The Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) has issued certificates of return to the 21 newly elected local government chairmen in the state.
The chairmen were elected in Saturday’s local government poll, which saw the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) win all 21 chairmanship seats and 364 councillorship positions.
Presenting the certificates on Tuesday, ANSIEC Chairman, Genevieve Osakwe, urged the newly elected officials to serve the people effectively.
She also commended the conduct of the election and assured of improvements in future polls.
