Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his months-long silence, thanking fans for standing by him during his prolonged absence from the public scene.
The comedian, who has maintained a low profile in recent months and stayed away from shows, events and other public engagements, acknowledged that he had not been able to connect with his fans as much as he would have wanted.
In a heartfelt message shared on his WhatsApp channel on Friday, Shaggi expressed gratitude to supporters who continued to check on him and show him love despite his silence.
He said the unwavering support from his fans meant more to him than he could fully express, particularly during a period when he was unable to be as active as before.
Shaggi, however, did not disclose the reason for his absence, explaining that he was not yet ready to reveal everything surrounding his situation.
He assured his fans that he would eventually speak about it when the time was right, while expressing hope that his return to the public scene would come soon.
The entertainer also promised to return with renewed energy, describing his anticipated comeback as a stronger and better version of himself.
His message has since sparked reactions among fans, many of whom welcomed his return to public communication and expressed excitement about seeing him back on their screens.
Shaggi’s latest update comes months after reports of an alleged shooting incident involving the comedian triggered concern among fans and generated widespread speculation about his wellbeing.
Despite the speculation, Shaggi has not publicly provided full details about what led to his prolonged absence.
