A Canada-based pastor, Pastor Tayo, has challenged gospel singer Tope Alabi and other personalities to take legal action against her if they believe she has defamed their characters following allegations she made concerning the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings.
In a video circulating on Facebook, the pastor maintained that she was prepared to defend her statements in court, insisting that anyone who felt defamed by her comments should pursue legal action.
She also warned against making defamatory statements about her, saying she would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who damaged her reputation.
To support her position, Pastor Tayo cited Luke 6:31 of the Bible, which teaches people to treat others as they would like to be treated.
Her comments come amid growing controversy surrounding claims linking prominent gospel music personalities to the death of Toluwanisings, whose death has generated reactions and speculation on social media.
Pastor Claims Revelation About Toluwanisings’ Death
In the video, Pastor Tayo claimed that she received a revelation concerning the circumstances surrounding Toluwanisings’ death.

According to her, she allegedly saw four familiar faces among individuals she described as being involved in occultic activities.
The pastor identified the personalities she claimed to have seen as gospel singer Tope Alabi, comedian and gospel minister Wole Agba, comedian Wole Arole, and gospel singer Dele Omo Wole.
She further alleged that the individuals were connected to the singer’s death and claimed that Toluwanisings was targeted because of his glory.
Describing those she accused as “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” Pastor Tayo called on them to leave the church and stop what she alleged was harm against other people.
However, the pastor did not present verifiable evidence in the video to substantiate her claims, and the allegations against the named personalities remain unproven.
Calls On Pastor Adeboye To Intervene
Pastor Tayo also called on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to intervene in the controversy.
She urged him to examine the allegations and called for the removal of the individuals she mentioned from the church.
Her comments have added to the controversy surrounding Toluwanisings’ death, with the allegations raising questions about the potential legal consequences of making unsubstantiated claims against identifiable individuals.
Tope Alabi Issues Legal Notice
The controversy follows a cease-and-desist notice reportedly issued by Tope Alabi through her legal representatives over social media posts allegedly linking her to Toluwanisings’ death.
In the notice dated October 24, 2026, the singer’s lawyers reportedly demanded that Pastor Tayo remove the allegedly defamatory publications, issue an unconditional retraction, and publish a public apology within 24 hours.
The legal team reportedly maintained that no police investigation, court judgment, or official finding had established any connection between Tope Alabi and the singer’s death.
Tope Alabi also shared the letter on her Instagram page and tagged the Nigeria Police Force, indicating her intention to pursue available legal remedies over the allegations.
The legal notice marks an escalation in the dispute, as the singer seeks to address claims she considers damaging to her reputation.
Pastor Tayo’s subsequent challenge for those who believe they have been defamed to sue her has further intensified the public exchange.
As of the time of this report, the allegations linking the named gospel personalities to Toluwanisings’ death have not been substantiated by publicly presented evidence. The claims should not be treated as established facts.
