The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly arrested a 101-year-old great-grandmother following the interception of cocaine concealed in a consignment of fufu.

The arrest forms part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to disrupt the trafficking and distribution of illicit drugs across the country.
According to reports, NDLEA operatives discovered the suspected cocaine concealed inside the foodstuff during an operation. The elderly suspect was subsequently taken into custody for questioning and further investigation.
The development has generated widespread reactions, particularly because of the suspect’s advanced age.
NDLEA officials are expected to provide further details on the circumstances surrounding the seizure, the quantity of cocaine recovered and the woman’s alleged involvement in the drug trafficking operation.
