The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, on Monday held a strategic meeting with key leaders of the party in the Southwest as part of efforts to strengthen preparations for the August 15 governorship election.
The meeting, held at the Lagos State House, Marina, brought together the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; APC elder statesman, Bisi Akande, as well as the party’s governorship candidates from Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states.

According to Oyebamiji, the engagement focused on reviewing the party’s campaign strategy, harmonising efforts across the Southwest and reinforcing the APC’s resolve to secure victory in the forthcoming Osun governorship election.
He said the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to unity, collaboration and coordinated political action, describing the meeting as an opportunity to draw from the experience and guidance of senior party stakeholders.
Oyebamiji noted that the encouragement and support received from the party leaders had further strengthened his determination to deliver purposeful leadership to Osun State if elected.
The APC candidate reiterated that his campaign remains focused on restoring sustainable economic growth, creating employment opportunities for young people, empowering residents and providing responsible governance across the state.
He also expressed confidence that, with the backing of the APC leadership, the National Campaign Council and the people of Osun State, the party would emerge victorious in the August 15 governorship election.
